Complimentary pick-up & drop-off across Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
What a Day at Dog Day School Looks Like
Your dog is collected from home by one of our trainers for an adventure day out on Sydney’s Northern Beaches before being returned home in the afternoon — a convenient, stress-free option for busy owners.
Dogs At Work Day School is a full day of structured training, enrichment and supervised socialisation for dogs aged 4 months and over. A trainer collects your dog from your home across Sydney’s Northern Beaches, works on skills like recall, place and stay, and loose leash walking in small groups, then brings them home tired and well mannered. This is not a traditional dog daycare.
Your dog’s day is planned around training, enrichment and calm social time, led by professional trainers rather than left to free play. We adapt each day to the dogs in the group, so every dog is working at the right level and building real skills.
- Pick up between 7:30am and 9:00am
- Drop off between 3:30pm and 5:00pm
- Small groups, maximum of 4 dogs per day
- Dogs aged 4 months and over
What we work on
Dog Training Skills Built on Every Day
- Socialisation and play manners
- Reliable recall
- Place and stay
- Loose leash walking
- Calm behaviour and impulse control
Dogs are carefully managed in small groups to encourage appropriate social interactions, build confidence, and reinforce good behaviour — practising real-world skills while learning to stay calm and responsive around other dogs.
Alongside structured training, your dog receives exercise, enrichment activities, individual training, and scheduled rest periods throughout the day — physically and mentally fulfilled, without becoming overstimulated.
Who Day School Suits
Day School works well for dogs that need structured socialisation, adolescent dogs with energy to spend, and owners who work long days but still want their dog learning every week.
It also suits dogs that are not comfortable in unstructured daycare and do better with a trainer guiding the group.

FAQs
Does my dog need to be assessed first?
Yes. Every dog is assessed before joining Day School, through a 1-on-1 Training Session, the Private Puppy Program, the 6 Week Dog Training class or Farm Stay & Train. This lets us understand your dog and make sure Day School is a good fit. Dogs with severe aggression may not be suitable.
How is Day School different from dog daycare?
Traditional daycare is largely unstructured free play. Day School is a full day of structured training, enrichment and supervised socialisation led by professional trainers, so your dog comes home having practised real skills like recall, place and stay, and loose leash walking.
How many dogs attend each day?
We keep groups small, with a maximum of 4 dogs per day, so every dog gets proper attention from the trainer.
What age can my dog start Day School?
Dogs need to be 4 months or older. Younger puppies can start with our Private Puppy Program.
What happens in bad weather?
Day School runs rain, hail or shine. We adapt the day’s plan to suit the conditions, so your dog still gets a full day of training and enrichment.
What are the pick up and drop off times?
A trainer collects your dog between 7:30am and 9:00am and returns them between 3:30pm and 5:00pm. Complimentary pick up and drop off is available across Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
I am outside the Northern Beaches. Can I still join?
Yes. You can drop your dog to us at our regular training field in Terrey Hills (2084), or at our facility near Windsor after 10:00am.
