Client stories
What our clients have to say!
Every journey is unique. These testimonials highlight the care, patience, and results that matter most to dog owners like you.
Ghost had an absolute blast at the March ’26 Farm Stay & Train with Deanne. I believe a great dog trainer does not only need to possess the skills, but also the heart and love for dogs, and Deanne was exactly that. It took Ghost a while to say goodbye to his amazing teacher when it was time to go home XD. Although the program was short, it was enough to see enormous progress in Ghost’s swimming/confidence in water and his play engagement, which were things we struggled with at home.
Deanne is not only skillful, fun, and caring, but also attentive and patient in noticing and working with the areas Ghost needed improvement on. We’re so glad to have found Deanne and will definitely let Ghost visit again. I’m sure he’ll miss his teacher and friends heaps.

My AmStaff, Stella, was a jumper with high energy and low impulse control. I found Dogs At Work, had a long chat with Deanne about the program, methods, and all the ins and outs, and she made the decision easy.
Daily video updates, seeing my girl doing new things, and hanging with her new pack… totally worth missing her for 10 days. The improvements in behaviour are great: waiting at open doors, following cues, and no more 2m high jumps.
Thank you, Dogs At Work. You’ve made a big difference.

I sent my two sibling Border Collies to Deanne for the 10-day training program. I know I still have to put the work in at home, but the difference this has made is incredible. We received regular updates, and she even went above and beyond to make a quick call to my daughter, who was struggling without having our babies home.
Highly recommend if you are thinking of sending your babies to Deanne.

Honestly I always had a good feeling about Deanne since our first phone call. She took the time to discuss everything and answer my 150 questions as Iu2019m so attached to my boy Rome. I decided to send him to the 10 day farm and stay. I saw daily updates and was so amazed at how quickly his confidence grew.u00a0
Iu2019ve tried 4 different trainers and all have been a total waste of hope and money, but Deanne worked her magic clearly because he returned home today and I can already see the changes!! He is finally able to rest in the crate without getting distressed, and I took him for a 20 minute walk outside my house (could never do this previously due to his severe anxiety).
Thank you Deanne, your passion shows.

Our high-energy Kelpie, Billie, attended the Dogs At Work Farm Stay program, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Deanne made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process, and we looked forward to the daily updates, seeing what Billie and her crew were getting up to.
From loose-lead walking and learning to swim, to managing her overexcitement, especially around the ball, the progress even in such a short time was amazing. Since returning home, we’ve already noticed a huge improvement in Billie’s behaviour and are continuing to build on her training using the tips provided.
We already can’t wait to send Billie back to this beautiful property and would highly recommend the program to anyone considering it for their dog.

Our 6 mth old extremely bouncy Weimaraner puppy had the best experience we could have hoped for with Deanne on her Farm Stay. We are planning on sending her again later in the year. A blissful, structured holiday camp for dogs.

My girl, Misty, just completed the 10-day Farm Stay. I loved that I got to watch videos of her coming out of her shell on the Instagram page each day. I could tell she was having a great time, and Deanne was super easy to communicate with and helpful with arranging the whole process from pickup to drop-off.
I look forward to working on Misty’s training with Deanne again soon.

Our German wirehaired pointer Saxon just completed the 10 day stay and training programme with Deanne. She was very communicate, thorough. We loved the video updates and follow up after his stay.
We will definitely be booking him in for further sessions to refine his progress. 10/10

FAQs
Where is the farm located?
The farm is our private property, located in Bellingen near Coffs Harbour.
Does my dog need to be social?
Not at all. These Farm Stay’s are designed to meet each individual dogs needs separately. If your dog is not social or if you would like to work on your dogs behaviours around other dogs then this would be the perfect opportunity for our trainer to work closely with your dog on building positive associations.
How many dogs will there be at the farm?
We have a maximum limit of 5 dogs per Farm Stay & Train. This ensures your dog receives plentiful one-on-one time with our trainer and a small enough focus group for controlled socialisation. By keeping our pack small we reduce the overwhelming chaos and noise you often find in large scale boarding facilities.
What does my dog need?
All you need to provide is your dogs collar and leash which will be returned back after your dogs stay! If you would like, you can provide a blanket for your dogs bedding and/or their food if you would like them to stay on the same diet. If your dog requires anything specific (ie. medication) this will need to be handed to our trainer at pick-up.
What food will my dog eat?
All dogs will be on Kangaroo Prime 100 rolls. We like to use this as it is a high-quality hypoallergenic single protein diet that is gentle on dogs stomachs. If your dog has food allergies or special requirements, then you must provide this to our trainer at pick-up.
Where will my dog sleep?
All the dogs sleep in our home in individual crates, positioned near or far from other dogs depending on their individual needs.
What if something happens to my dog during their stay?
Your dog will be taken into the pack as if it is one of our own. In the instance that your dog becomes ill or injured, we will contact you immediately and take them to the nearest vet clinic. If you are not contactable, our trainer will make the decision to take your dog to the vet on your behalf. Although rare, dogs are not indestructible and unforeseen accidents do happen. All vet bills must be reimbursed by the owner.
