The Private Puppy Program is a 4-week, one-on-one course designed at Dogs at Work for puppies aged 10 weeks to 5 months. Each week you book a session with trainer Deanne Janszen at a large oval in Terrey Hills (2084), at a time that suits your schedule. You’ll gain the knowledge and skills to raise a confident, happy puppy who grows into the well-behaved companion you always imagined.

FAQs
Where are the puppy training sessions held?
Sessions are held at a large oval in Terrey Hills (2084). The location is usually quiet and has an undercover area we can use on rainy or sunny days.
How old does my puppy need to be to enrol?
We accept puppies starting from 10 weeks of age up to 5 months. Please talk to your vet about vaccination timing. We’re happy to talk you through safe socialisation options for your puppy.
What do I need to bring to puppy training?
All you need is your pup, a collar/harness and a leash! We recommend bringing your dogs regular meal time food with you but don’t worry if you forget as our trainers will have some with them for the session.
What days and times are available?
As this is a Private Puppy Program the days are flexible to your schedule. Book in a time with our trainer according to your schedule. Each week can be either the same or different time, whatever works best for you!
What happens if it rains?
The oval has a shaded area, so puppy training continues as usual.
What will my puppy learn in the Private Puppy Program?
Over four weeks your puppy learns toilet and crate training, bite inhibition, recall, focus, basic positions (sit, down), loose-lead manners and socialisation fundamentals.
What happens after the Private Puppy Program?
After the program, your puppy can continue with our 1-on-1 Dog Training sessions or be assessed for Day School & Socialisation (dogs 4 months and older)
